Primary Role:
Responsibilities include: effectively managing communication between Rapidparts and various customer groups, collecting and analyzing product and customer information to identify new sales opportunities, participate in launching new products, developing and administering dealer promotions, providing and coordinating dealer training, and sales support activities.

Relationships:

  • Reports to: Sales Manager
  • Key Contacts: Rapidparts Territory Managers, Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America (MCFA) Field Sales Reps, Dealer Personnel on various levels, and Rapidparts Departmental Managers

Decision Making:

  • Promotion/Marketing programs for specific dealers including budget expenditures, incentives, and discounting.
  • Account Management

Responsibilities:

  1. Account Management - Responsible for coordinating sales activity with Territory Manager in a specified territory. This includes being a key contact for dealer parts managers, service managers, product support managers, product support reps, and sales coordinators.
  2. Communication - Ensure that dealers and MCFA regional reps are informed of current products and promotions. Communicate information from dealers to appropriate personnel and management within Rapidparts
  3. Marketing/Sales Promotions - Develop promotional plans to capture and earn more business from our dealers.
  4. Sales Reporting - Report sales information to dealers and to MCFA regional reps. Use the report information to discover areas for new sales and/or sales recovery.
  5. Support MCFA representatives in their efforts to grow Rapidparts sales.
  6. Work with Territory Manager to determine and coordinate effective sales activities.
  7. Less than 20% travel required.

Job Specifications:

Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or related field of study.

Specific skills: Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products and Internet technologies. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, strong organizational skills, ability to travel, and ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image. Demonstrates the characteristics of being a self-starter, risk taker and has an entrepreneurial spirit. Prior knowledge of the industrial forklift market helpful, but not required.

Experience: 1-2 years - selling experience preferred.
