Our Product Development and Purchasing Departments work together to make sure our dealers have the parts they need to service their customers. The most unique characteristic is the way they function. They have created a laid back atmosphere balanced with dedication and good work ethic. That’s why they are given a certain amount of freedom to function freely and are trusted to make decisions on their own. Product DevelopmentOur Product Development group is responsible for adding the right parts. More importantly, the team enjoys providing our customers with the assurance that we will always try to have what they need. There are many aspects that are considered when sourcing a part: quality, price, lead time, etc. A part must meet stringent requirements and OEM specifications before it can become a "Rapidparts part." PurchasingAfter Product Development adds the parts, our Purchasing group is responsible for managing inventory, dealer pricing, and acquisition costs. By consistently analyzing and regulating our inventory, Purchasing is able to meet our fill rate, backorder and inventory turn goals. The Purchasing group is also responsible for all item and vendor file maintenance to ensure complete accuracy and data integrity. Both groups have fun building strong relationships with our domestic and international suppliers in order to provide positive results for everyone.
